1. Introduction

Welcome to AnimeGenius Hub.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of AnimeGenius Hub and its related services, including our online AI Manga Translator and image-processing tools (collectively, the “Service”).

  • translate text within manga, comics, images, or similar visual content;
  • detect, replace, or process embedded text in images;
  • generate translated outputs while attempting to preserve layout and visual structure; and
  • access related features, updates, and improvements we may offer from time to time.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction to use online services of this kind, to use the Service.

By using the Service, you represent and warrant that:

  • you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms; and
  • your use of the Service complies with all applicable laws and regulations.

4. User Accounts

Some features may require you to create an account.

You agree to:

  • provide accurate, current, and complete information;
  • keep your login credentials secure and confidential; and
  • accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account.

We may suspend or terminate your account if we believe you have violated these Terms or created risk for the Service, our users, or our partners.

5. User Content

5.1 Your Ownership

You retain ownership of the images, text, and other materials you upload, submit, or process through the Service (“User Content”), subject to the rights you grant below.

5.2 Limited License to Us

You grant AnimeGenius Hub a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to host, process, transmit, and use your User Content solely as necessary to operate, provide, maintain, secure, and improve the Service.

We do not claim ownership of your User Content.

5.3 Your Responsibility for Rights Clearance

You are solely responsible for ensuring that you have all necessary rights, permissions, licenses, and authorizations to upload, use, process, translate, or otherwise submit any User Content through the Service.

You must not upload or process any content that infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights of any third party. UK copyright guidance notes that unauthorized use of all or a substantial part of a protected work can infringe copyright unless an exception applies.

6. Copyright and Intellectual Property Policy

We respect intellectual property rights and expect users to do the same.

You agree not to use the Service to upload, translate, reproduce, adapt, distribute, or otherwise process copyrighted manga, comics, images, or other materials unless you have the legal right to do so.

If we reasonably believe that any content may infringe intellectual property rights, we may remove or restrict access to that content, suspend processing, or terminate related accounts.

If you are a rights holder and believe content processed through the Service infringes your rights, you may contact us with sufficient details for review.

7. Prohibited Content and Conduct

You may not use the Service to upload, submit, process, generate, distribute, or promote content that:

  • is unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, or harmful;
  • infringes any intellectual property or proprietary rights;
  • violates any person’s privacy, publicity, or personal rights;
  • contains sexually explicit, pornographic, or NSFW material;
  • exploits, sexualizes, or endangers minors;
  • includes hateful, abusive, violent, or harassing material; or
  • is intended to evade safety systems, platform restrictions, or legal requirements.

We do not support the processing of NSFW content. We may use manual or automated review and filtering systems to detect and prevent prohibited content and misuse.

You also agree not to:

  • reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract source code, models, or underlying components of the Service;
  • interfere with the operation or security of the Service;
  • use bots, scripts, or automated tools to abuse the Service without our permission; or
  • bypass usage limits, account restrictions, or safety controls.

8. Privacy, Data Minimisation, and Storage

We aim to process only the minimum amount of personal data reasonably necessary to provide the Service, consistent with UK data protection principles on data minimisation and storage limitation.

We do not store private user content longer than necessary to provide the Service, maintain security, comply with legal obligations, or resolve technical issues. Where possible, uploaded content is processed temporarily and is not retained permanently.

You acknowledge that temporary caching, technical logs, abuse monitoring records, or short-term storage may occur where operationally necessary.

9. AI Limitations

The Service uses artificial intelligence and automated systems.

You acknowledge and agree that:

  • translations and outputs may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies;
  • formatting, wording, names, tone, or contextual meaning may not always be preserved correctly;
  • results may vary depending on image quality, language, source material, and system limitations; and
  • the Service is provided as an assistive tool and should not be relied on as the sole basis for legal, commercial, publishing, or other critical decisions.

We do not guarantee that any output will be accurate, complete, lawful, or fit for a particular purpose.

10. Fees, Payments, and Credits

If paid plans, credits, subscriptions, or usage-based pricing are offered:

  • you agree to pay all applicable fees shown at the time of purchase;
  • payments are generally non-refundable once credits, usage, or paid features have been consumed, except where required by law;
  • we may change pricing, packaging, or billing terms at any time; and
  • you are responsible for any taxes, duties, or similar governmental charges associated with your purchase or use of the Service.

11. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if:

  • you violate these Terms;
  • your use creates legal, operational, reputational, or financial risk;
  • we are required to do so by law, regulation, court order, or service provider requirements; or
  • we reasonably suspect fraud, abuse, infringement, or prohibited content activity.

You may stop using the Service at any time.

12. Intellectual Property in the Service

The Service, including its software, interface, branding, logos, design, features, models, workflows, and related materials, is owned by AnimeGenius Hub or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.

Except as expressly permitted by these Terms, you may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, sublicense, or create derivative works from the Service.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

We make no warranties or representations, express or implied, including that:

  • the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free;
  • the Service will always be available or compatible with your devices or workflows;
  • any output will be accurate, lawful, or suitable for your intended use; or
  • defects will be corrected.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, AnimeGenius Hub and its affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, licensors, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, data, goodwill, or business opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the Service.

Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed the greater of:

  • the amount you paid to us for the Service during the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim; or
  • GBP 100.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless AnimeGenius Hub and its affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, and partners from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or related to:

  • your User Content;
  • your use of the Service;
  • your violation of these Terms; or
  • your infringement of any third-party rights.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

If we make material changes, we may post the revised Terms on the website and update the Effective Date above. Your continued use of the Service after the updated Terms take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

17. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them, their subject matter, or their formation shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

You agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction, except where applicable consumer law provides otherwise.
